- June 18
“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Matthew 24:6). The world’s chaos shouldn’t shake our inner peace or confidence in God’s plan. Even when events seem alarming, we’re called to remain grounded and unafraid.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1). Jesus calls us to anchor our hearts in faith rather than fear, even when life feels fearful and uncertain. Trusting Him brings supernatural peace that steadies us beyond what we can control.

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8). While we may face pressure and uncertainty, we’re never without hope or strength in Christ. God sustains us in every circumstance, ensuring that hardship doesn’t have the final say.

“Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird” (Proverbs 1:17). Godly wisdom helps us recognize traps in life before we fall into them, if we’re willing to pay attention. God’s truth exposes deception so that we aren’t overtaken by what is clearly set against us.

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:4-6). God deeply values us; despite our imperfections, He chose to crown us with honor and give us responsibility over His creation. This reveals both our significance to Him and the authority He has entrusted to us.

“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). Faith in God’s love, mercy, and compassion for us must guide our actions and decisions in every area of life. When we act outside of faith, we step into uncertainty instead of the assurance that comes from trusting Him.

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1, NLT). Our position in Christ Jesus frees us from guilt and moves us out from under condemnation. This enables us to live confidently, led by the Spirit rather than burdened by shame.

“For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee” (Isaiah 54:9). We can be assured of God’s unwavering promise of compassion and His commitment to mercy toward us. Just as His covenant with Noah stands firm, so does His assurance of His kindness and restraint.

“The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favour is as dew upon the grass” (Proverbs 19:12). There’s a huge contrast between the destructive power of anger and the refreshing nature of favor. Unlike under the law, God is no longer angry with mankind; this should encourage us to value and seek the life-giving impact of favor rather than the harm wrath causes.

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10). We find peace when we quiet our hearts and trust in God’s sovereignty instead of striving to control everything. In stillness, we gain a deeper awareness of who He is and His authority over all things.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9).
Regardless of what we see going on in the world around us, God’s Spirit guiding us gives us victory, safety from harm, and deliverance from evil. In Him, we have nothing to fear.
May 26
“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7, NKJV).
When we ask God for His guidance, we discover to our great joy that He’s with us everywhere and in all situations. Nothing is powerful enough to separate us from His loving presence, and there’s no running away from Him.
May 25
“When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek’” (Psalm 27:8, NKJV).
When God talks to us, we hear Him and respond with our hearts. Seeking Him and tuning in allows us to truly feel the messages He delivers. Those messages resonate with power, love, and grace, and we know they are unmistakably from Him.
May 24
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13, NKJV).
This is good for anyone at any age to always remember. Regardless of who we are or what we’re facing, there’s no way we will have the strength and perseverance to face life’s challenges and struggles on our own. Only through Jesus Christ can we overcome.
May 23
“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!” (Romans 11:33).
Unlike the world’s standards, God’s definition of riches and wealth far exceed mere money; true treasures are found in His Word, which leads to eternal life. His mind is far above human understanding—coming into the knowledge of God can be a lifelong process, and requires complete trust in Him.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6, 7, NKJV).
Sometimes it’s hard to let go of whatever issues are causing us anxiety and worry, but when we consciously turn them over to God, He’ll handle them much better than we can. We must resist the human tendency to hang on to problems and try to work them out on our own; completely letting go and trusting Him opens us up to His peace.
May 21
“Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone” (Colossians 4:5, 6, NIV).
As Christians, we must remember to model Christ-like behavior in all our interactions with the world. Just like Jesus, everything we say must be motivated by love. We’ll never go wrong when we depend on Him to give us just the right words at just the right moment.
May 20
“For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29, NKJV).
When God calls us to a task and blesses us with the gifts and talents to do the job, those blessings are permanent. Whether or not we respond to that calling and use the gifts in the way He intends is our decision, but He’ll never take them away. The blessings don’t diminish or change, because God Himself doesn’t change.

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy” (James 3:17, NKJV).
When we yield to Jesus and let Him begin to influence us, one of the blessings we receive is His wisdom. Unlike what the world has to offer, this type of wisdom is one of the fruits of the spirit God promises us. The giving of this gift is one of the ways He molds us into His image.
