“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19). Difficulties, challenges, and persecutions are part of life, even for those who follow God. However, we can be confident that deliverance is certain; we can always trust in His faithfulness.
- June 19
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). We find our peace in Jesus—the Prince of Peace—not in the world or even in absence of trouble. His victory gives us confidence that no challenge we face is greater than His power.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Matthew 24:6). The world’s chaos shouldn’t shake our inner peace or confidence in God’s plan. Even when events seem alarming, we’re called to remain grounded and unafraid.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me” (John 14:1). Jesus calls us to anchor our hearts in faith rather than fear, even when life feels fearful and uncertain. Trusting Him brings supernatural peace that steadies us beyond what we can control.

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair” (2 Corinthians 4:8). While we may face pressure and uncertainty, we’re never without hope or strength in Christ. God sustains us in every circumstance, ensuring that hardship doesn’t have the final say.

“Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird” (Proverbs 1:17). Godly wisdom helps us recognize traps in life before we fall into them, if we’re willing to pay attention. God’s truth exposes deception so that we aren’t overtaken by what is clearly set against us.

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet” (Psalm 8:4-6). God deeply values us; despite our imperfections, He chose to crown us with honor and give us responsibility over His creation. This reveals both our significance to Him and the authority He has entrusted to us.

“And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). Faith in God’s love, mercy, and compassion for us must guide our actions and decisions in every area of life. When we act outside of faith, we step into uncertainty instead of the assurance that comes from trusting Him.

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1, NLT). Our position in Christ Jesus frees us from guilt and moves us out from under condemnation. This enables us to live confidently, led by the Spirit rather than burdened by shame.

“For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee” (Isaiah 54:9). We can be assured of God’s unwavering promise of compassion and His commitment to mercy toward us. Just as His covenant with Noah stands firm, so does His assurance of His kindness and restraint.

Abraham es referido como nuestro padre espiritual debido a su gran fe en lo que Dios dijo. Dios nos hace justos a través de nuestra confianza en él, no por nuestras obras.

“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!’” (John 1:29, NKJV).
The Old Testament blood sacrifices of ordinary lambs, sheep, and other animals only covered up the people’s sins. These sacrifices were temporary and had to be repeated annually, but the blood that Jesus shed actually removed sin permanently. He was the perfect sacrifice for all time.

“Al día siguiente Juan vio a Jesús que se acercaba a él y dijo, ¡Aquí tienen al Cordero de Dios, que quita el pecado del mundo!’” (Juan 1:29, NVI).
Los sacrificios de los corderos y otros animales en el antiguo testamento sólo cubrían los pecados de las personas. Estos sacrificios eran temporales, y tenían que ser repetidas cada año. Pero la sangre de Jesús removía los pecados para siempre. Él fue el sacrificio perfecto para siempre.

“La ley de Jehová es perfecta, que convierte el alma; el testimonio de Jehová es fiel, que hace sabio al sencillo” (Salmos 19:7).
Nuestra alma es nuestra mente que usamos para pensar, sentir, razonar y tomar decisiones. Cuando meditamos en la palabra de Dios, eventualmente veremos cambios y nuestra manera de pensar será distinta. Cuando confesamos la palabra, hablamos la verdad.

“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple” (Psalm 19:7).
Our soul is our mind, which we use to think, feel, reason, and choose for ourselves. When we meditate on the Word of God and let it percolate through us, we eventually begin to notice that we are thinking differently than before. When we confess the Word, we speak the truth.

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator” (Galatians 3:19).
The law of Moses, which focused on self-effort, had the effect of constantly reminding the people of their sins. It magnified their sense of guilt and made it impossible for them to obey all the commandments. Jesus, the perfect mediator between God and man, came to release the people from bondage to self-effort and guilt.

“Entonces ¿para qué sirve la ley? Fue añadida a causa de las transgresiones, hasta que viniese la simiente a quien fue hecha la promesa; y fue ordenada por medio de ángeles en mano de un mediador” (Gálatas 3:19).
La ley de Moisés se enfocaba en esfuerzos propios que constantemente recordaba a las personas de sus pecados. Aumentaba la culpabilidad de ellos y hacía imposible que ellos obedecieran todos los mandamientos. Jesús era el perfecto mediador entre Dios y el hombre, él vino para liberar a su pueblo de toda esclavitud.

“Sin embargo, tengan cuidado de que su libertad no se conviertan en motivo de tropiezo para los débiles. Porque si alguien de conciencia débil te ve a ti, que tienes este conocimiento, comer en el templo de un ídolo, ¿no se sentirá animado a comer lo que ha sido sacrificado. Por lo tanto, si mi comida ocasiona la caída de mi hermano, no comeré carne jamás, para no hacerlo caer en pecado“1 Corintios 8:9, 10, 13, NVI).
Cuando estamos con otras personas que no conocen los beneficios a resultado de una vida de gracia, debemos tener cuidado que nuestras acciones no violen sus conciencias. Es importante poner a otros primero.

“But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble. For if others see you—with your “superior knowledge”—eating in the temple of an idol, won’t they be encouraged to violate their conscience by eating food that has been offered to an idol? So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don’t want to cause another believer to stumble” (1 Corinthians 8:9, 10, 13, NLT).
When we are with others who are unaware of the freedoms resulting from a life of grace, we must be careful that our actions do not violate their conscience. We must not inadvertently cause another person to do something they consider sinful out of guilt, simply because they see us doing it. Putting others first is important.
